I initially thought this was a bit extra. I was wrong. It ended up being one of my favorite details of the entire wedding.
Seeing our names and our dog's face together felt like our little family was getting married. He wasn't coming to the venue, and I had been sad about that. This was a lovely way to have him greeting people. We sent the design on for printing and both felt really good about the choice.
Design file received. Names checked. Sent to our printer. We paid for the physical printing separately, which I'd planned for. The artwork was the part I needed help with and it turned out beautifully.
Our names are long, so I had worried that fitting them beside the portrait would crowd the sign. Seeing the wording laid out before arranging printing settled that. The names are easy to read and the dog has room too. A well-considered design.
Names, date, portrait: checked on the design. Printing: arranged separately. File passed on. I like knowing exactly which job is finished.
Found a little wording change I wanted when I saw the layout. Sorted it at the proof stage, before I paid for printing. Much easier to relax about the sign once I'd actually read it as a whole design.
The room was already quite ornate. I sent that context with our preferences and wanted something people could read easily at the entrance. The finished artwork has room around the words and portrait. Personal, but it isn't competing with the building.

we were getting married away from home and already had someone local doing a few print jobs, so the digital sign made sense. i sent the file over and we picked up the physical sign near the venue instead of trying to fit another thing in the car. really happy with the design itself too. our dog's face looked so sweet above our names and people noticed it as soon as they walked in. a nice option if you're sorting the printing seperately like we were.
Looked at the first draft on my phone and liked it. Opened it properly that evening and noticed they'd kept her ridiculous whiskers. Those whiskers are basically her whole personality. We've sent the design off to print now and I can't wait to see it at the entrance.

We booked plenty of big things, but the little personal choices are what I remember most. The welcome design was one of those. Seeing our dog's face as people arrived was really special, and several friends mentioned it afterward.
I pictured everyone pausing at the welcome sign with the same delighted expression. They all smiled in their own way instead. Apparently you can't choreograph thirty faces. The design was lovely; my entrance scene was not.

If something's off, the markings, the expression, the color, the proportions, tell us and we'll fix it. No limit on revisions, no extra charge. We move to production only when you say it's right.
